The Basics
I offer fitting services for English or western saddles you already own, saddles you are looking to purchase, and consignment saddles that I carry.  Fitting and flocking are separate services and are priced accordingly.  If your saddle already fits, I don't need to flock it; and if it's foam or western, it cannot be flocked (in this case, shimming or special pads are used to optimize fit.)

Your Fitting Appointment
Fitting services will include a static (unmounted) and a riding assessment of saddle fit. Please have your horse groomed, warmed up and ready to ride before your appointment, and wearing any boots or wraps you customarily use.  Fitting appointments are allotted 60 minutes; this should be plenty of time to thoroughly evaluate one saddle and adjust flocking, if needed (cost $125). Cancellations less than 48 hours before your appointment will incur the full fitting fee.

Flocking
If your saddle needs a flocking adjustment, this is done on-site.  I will flock your saddle, then have you ride in it to make sure you and your horse are happy.  Note, to have your saddle fitted and flocked, the average charge will be $210.00 (see below).

Consignment Saddle Shopping Appointment
If you are in the market for a saddle out of my consignment inventory, I will request a phone conversation prior to your appointment so that you can tell me about your horse and your riding. I will ask you to send me back pictures before our appointment. All this information will help me select potential saddles for you to test-ride.  As with the fitting appointment, please have your horse warmed up, groomed and booted before your appointment.  The appointment will begin with a symmetry evaluation, and then we will spend generally up to two hours trying saddles.  For these appointments, I want to ensure that you have the ability to really get the feel of a saddle before making the commitment to purchase, so please allow for extra time if needed.  For consignment saddles from my inventory, custom flocking at time of purchase is included.

If I do not have adequate consignment inventory, I offer a thorough saddle fit assessment and recommendations. This includes back tracings and written recommendations of specific brands and models, plus tree width, seat size, etc. This service is a favorite among my western saddle shoppers (cost $140).
